While students may claim JEE Main is tough to crack and highly competitive, recent trends among aspiring engineers suggest BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) may be more stringent. 1. The Statistics

The applications to JEE Main have been on a steady decline for a few years now. From 14 Lakhs in the year 2013, the number of applications in 2019 has come down to a mere 9 Lakhs. From 88,000 in 2007 to 1.36 Lakh in 2012 and around 3 Lakhs in 2019, BITSAT is undoubtedly attracting more applicants every year. 2. The Syllabus

The syllabus for BITSAT differs from that of JEE Mains in terms of two additional sections: Logical Reasoning and English Proficiency.
